You've seen their designs and you don't know it. Blu Dot designs and manufactures modern furniture and furnishings. Its founding partners, John Christakos, Maurice Blanks, and Charlie Lazor—whose backgrounds range from architecture and art to marketing—created the company in Minneapolis with the desire to make quality modern design available to everyday people.

New Associate Director

Ms. NBH started as the Associate Director in Social Sciences. Perhaps the only person at the University of Chicago who has been in Jeeves and Wooster and edited a fundraising manual.

House. House.


As part of our "theme for every weekend summer" the theme was House/House. We did a great Target shop for things to spruce up the house, and we saw two, count them two, productions by the House Theatre: Curse of the Crying Heart on the lake front, and Dave DaVinci Saves the Universe at their usual location.
